Cleveland Browns fan Carl Holloway burned a jersey after their decision to start NFL rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel over Brian Hoyer.
The majority of Cleveland Browns fans are excited this week as rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel prepares to make his first career start against the Cincinnati Bengals. Many fans believe that he is the franchise future at the quarterback position, but that feeling isn’t shared by all of the Browns’ fan base.

Carl Holloway, 45, of Dayton isn’t happy with the decision to start Manziel over Brian Hoyer. He made it very clear that he was displeased with the decision by burning some of his Browns gear following the announcement. It certainly may seem like an overreaction, but the Browns fan base has been through a lot recently.
Take a look at Holloway burning his Browns jersey for yourself:
Needless to say, Manziel doesn’t have some fans believing just yet. He was very solid in his first outing taking over for Hoyer a couple weeks back, and ran in his first touchdown from 10 yards out. The Browns are hoping that he can give them the type of energy jump that they are looking for to get back into the postseason race.
It isn’t going to be easy for Manziel to come in and win his first career start, as the Bengals smell blood in the water and are looking to get revenge for the first matchup between these two teams. He is going to have to play a nearly perfect game, and he can’t afford to make any rookie mistakes. Mike Pettine stuck with Hoyer as long as he could, but the Browns feel that Manziel’s energy and skill-set gives them the best chance to win right now.
