Jay Z Is The Man Behind ‘I Can’t Breath’ Shirts
By Gerald Tracy
With the recent outburst of shirts reading ‘I Can’t Breath’ on them being worn around the NBA, some began to wonder who was the one distributing them, no worries though, it’s Jay Z.

It started with Bulls guard Derrick Rose showed up at a pregame warm up on Saturday wearing a black shirt that simply read, ‘I Can’t Breath,” commemorating the unjustified death of Eric Garner.
Then Cleveland Cavalier star LeBron James said he loved it and that he had to find one himself. So of course, it was a race to find one of these shirts for James, and Jay Z was going to get it to him.
Here’s the story:
"“The group’s plan emerged on Sunday when James, the star of the Cavaliers, told reporters that Rose’s T-shirt was “spectacular” and that he was looking for one of his own. Organizers at Justice League NYC had a conference call that night.“The plan was simple, really: Deliver replicas of the “I Can’t Breathe” T-shirt to James and other players who might be interested in wearing them before the game. Executing that plan, though, would be far more complex, as intermediaries between Jay-Z and James would need to get involved, none of the T-shirts actually existed yet, and the game was less than 24 hours away. But those who were aware of the plan were confident.”"
Jay-Z hasn’t actually spoken on the subject and it’s anyones guess as to why he hasn’t. However, the fact he’s putting this shirt out might give you a hint as to what he would say.
