There’s no denying Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson could play basketball.
One of the greatest point guards to ever grace an NBA court, Johnson is an icon to most. Of course, his success on the hardwood hasn’t exactly translated into analyst work (or even coaching) where Johnson has failed and done so pretty hard.
Now part owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Magic Johnson has routinely spent time offering up his opinion on his former basketball franchise but current players on the Los Angeles Lakers roster don’t want to hear it. That includes eccentric guard Nick Young, better known as “Swaggy P” who told the franchise legend he needs to stay at Dodger Stadium.
Nick Young: "Tell Magic to stay at Dodger Stadium for a while. He don’t need to bring that smile around here. I’ll do all the smiling."

Shots fired.
Johnson of course famously ripped former Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni relentlessly last season and earlier this week stated he doesn’t want the team winning any games so they can get a better draft pick.
That’s a sentiment likely shared by a lot of fans but give the current lottery system employed by the NBA, there’s no guarantee you’ll be awarded the top overall selection and the last thing you want to do is breed a losing culture with young players on a roster.
One thing is for certain – Magic Johnson is certainly wearing out his welcome with the Los Angeles Lakers with his continued comments and his already thin ice might be melting away.
