Ndamukong Suh Says Agent Will Decide Where He Plays Next
By CM Towle
Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh says his agent will make the decision on what NFL team he plays for next if he leaves the Lions.
Ndamukong Suh will be a free agent after this season, and there’s no guarantee that he will be returning to the Lions. In fact, according to a story by Pro Football Talk, Suh plans to let his agent decide where he’ll play. Suh obviously trusts Jimmy Sexton, his agent, if he intends to let him not only negotiate what is likely to be a huge contract in free agency, but also decide where he’ll play.

Unlike a lot of upcoming free agents who often talk big about how they might give their former team a “hometown” discount and that they’d like to stay, and they’re all about the team, Suh is pretty much saying his free agency will be all about the money.
Per the Detroit Free Press:
"“It’ll be Jimmy’s decision, so we’ll go with that,” Suh said. “You can call Jimmy if you want to.”Asked whether he meant that Sexton will pick the team he plays for next year, Suh said, “Probably will. Yup.”"
Obviously Suh’s agent will have no attachment to staying with the Lions, not unless they offer up a suitably big contract. Suh’s comments regarding his impending free agency came on Wednesday when he was asked about possibly playing his last home game in a Lions uniform on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Predictably, Suh’s not thinking too nostalgically about that either.
"“I don’t think about things like that,” Suh said. “I think, most important, we’ve got to go out there and get a win and kind of go from there. So that’s going to be my goal (Sunday), just like last year, the year before that. No matter where we’re at, I want to play at a high level and impose my will, have teams focus on me, free other people up — at the same time, make plays.”"
Suh may be all about the money, but he’s also about playing as hard as he can, even if it’s not with the Lions by this time next year.
