In the rare case that you missed it earlier in the week, Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant was none too happy with the effort of his teammates during practice.
The Black Mamba unleashed a profanity laced tirade because of it and before it was all over, suggested the Lakers were “soft” like Charmin toilet paper.
Apparently the vocal outburst worked as the Lakers ended up beating the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night which lead point guard Jeremy Lin to suggest they did well for a team made up of toilet paper.
The assumption is Jeremy Lin didn’t mean for that quote to come across as a troll job on Kobe Bryant, but it kind of ended up that way in the most hilarious of fashions. Of course Lin seems to idolize Bryant, so he probably wasn’t thinking before he said that or was simply attempting to have some fun at the expense of Kobe’s comment.
Regardless it was pretty humorous given how badly Bryant ripped the team.
Jeremy Lin would continue on during the interview and reiterated the Los Angeles Lakers are not a soft team, despite their sub par record and sentiment coming from their best player.
Thanks to the victory, the Lakers now have a two-game win streak and head to Minnesota where they’ll play the Timberwolves in a game where the Lakers could find themselves favored, odd as that sounds. Hopefully they packed additional toilet paper, just in case.
