Andrew Hawkins Protests Death Of Tamir Rice, John Crawford (Photo)

Another death at the hands of police has enraged the black community, and Andrew Hawkins did his best to bring attention to the murder of 12-year old Tamir Rice on Sunday afternoon.
The number of shooting deaths of black people at the hands of police officers continues to rise by the day it seems, as there are almost more cops in court fighting cases against them then there are not he streets. Perhaps that’s not a bad thing given the atrocious tragedies at the hands of police officers in Missouri, New York and now Ohio.

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Andrew Hawkins protested yet another death of an unarmed black person who was gunned down by police — and the adjective person is used because the latest death was on black man, it was a black child. Tamir Johnson was shot and killed by Cleveland police last month while holding a toy gun. Similarly, Crawford was murdered by police after he was caught with a toy gun at Walmart.
Hawkins took another stand on Sunday, protesting the deaths of Tamir Rice and John Crawford, who were both killed by police over the last six months.
Toy guns. Untaxed cigarettes. Stolen cigars. Those are not reasons to be gunned down and killed by police but nevertheless those are the reasons that Tamir Rice, John Crawford, Eric Garner and Michael Brown are all dead.
Andrew Hawkins isn’t jumping on a bandwagon with the ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirts, he protesting something close to home that remains a serious problem across the country.
