When you think of the Los Angeles Clippers and a beautiful pass, you immediately assume it was point guard Chris Paul who dished the rock. Normally that would be the case, but not on Saturday night when Blake Griffin took over the role of CP3 and thanks to DeAndre Jordan, turned in one of the most amazing plays you’ll see this season.
It all started just minutes into the first quarter when Griffin had picked up his dribble atop the key. He looked as if he was going to shoot the ball but that’s when he saw DeAndre Jordan waiting at the rim. Only problem? The Los Angeles Clippers center was standing with his back to the basket which made an alley-oop all but impossible, right?
Not exactly as Griffin, who went up for the shot, decided to pass out of the prospective jumper and hit DeAndre Jordan waiting under the basket. That’s when Jordan, instead of grabbing the pass and turning around, decided to leap into the air and reverse the alley-oop, essentially making it a no-look oop in the process. Seriously, watch this beauty:
Yes, Jordan did give a quick peek at the rim just as he was going up but that’s an incredibly difficult play to pull off in your backyard, let alone on an NBA court.
Say what you will about the Los Angeles Clippers, nobody can deny they’re one of the most fun teams to watch in the NBA.
