Eric Berry was diagnosed with Hodgekin’s Lymphoma last week, and has been declared out for the season as he enters this chapter of his life. The Kansas City Chiefs have been extremely supportive of him since learning the news, and they are wearing bracelets that are supporting Berry this afternoon in their home game against the Oakland Raiders.
Needless to say this is a heartwarming story, and it has to be an encouraging thing for Berry to see. He was one of the best playmakers on the Chiefs’ roster before learning of the illness that he had, and has been missed since having to step away from football. The NFL as a whole has done a great job of supporting him in this difficult time, and it shows just how much character those around the league have.

Hopefully Berry will be able to heal quickly and get back to his football career. He has made it clear that he has faith that God will carry him through this time, and that he is excited about returning to football. His teammates believe in him as well, and they want to do everything they can to support him fight off this disease.
