Edward Norton Narrates Powerful Conservation Effort Campaign (Video)
Conservation International has a new voice. And it belongs to Edward Norton in this YouTube advertisement.
Edward Norton brought some soil to life in a recent advertisement for Conservation International. Slightly entertaining is the use of Norton to give human presence to it instead of a more powerful, wisdom-filled voice, like a James Earl Jones, or Morgan Freeman.

In all seriousness though, this is not a joking matter, nor is the topic of environmental preservation. Just because you have Norton giving humanization to soil, does not mean the message should be lost or skipped over. If indeed we have lost about half of the world’s soil over the last century of existence, something has to change. Our agricultural tidings need to be restructured.
It is bad enough that we have to worry about the finite resources of fossil fuels; materials whose use can be attributed to the slow, but nevertheless dwindling supply of o-zone in our atmosphere. That, in turn, can also be connected to depletion of the polar ice caps through global warming.
There is literally zero reason to keep piling on causes for our impending extinction as a species. Overly dramatic? Of course. However, the sentiment remains the same.
In summation, there is a lot that needs to be addressed. Unfortunately, as a whole, society tends to shun negativity. It wants to gloss over the problem by dismissing it as petty, or nonexistent. It took substantial amounts of campaigning; years of it, to convince the United States government that global warming was a legitimate threat. We have to stop ignoring the issues, even if they are hard to discuss. They will not just go away. Even I learned that at a very young age.
