A local billboard put up by R&S Mattress is calling for the return of former 2 time NFL MVP quarterback Kurt Warner.
Remember when the Arizona Cardinals made it to the Super Bowl for the first, and still, only time in their franchise’s history? The fine folks at R&S Mattress probably do.

Thus, it would make perfect sense as to why they are taking out the ad space on a guy who has not played a down of professional football in 5 years. Nevertheless, 43 is still 43. And Warner is well aware that the likelihood of a successful return is minimal at best.
Still, one could wonder if a 43 year old Warner is a better option that Drew Stanton. The Arizona Cardinals mustered just 12 points on Thursday. Since losing starting quarterback Carson Palmer to injury for the rest of the year, the offense has looked rather pedestrian; even if it was not blowing people away before.

This is not the first time, by the way, that R&S Mattress has jumped on the football bandwagon. I seem to recall a time when Peyton Manning had just been released by the Indianapolis Colts, and the rest of the collective football world was looking to make its pitch. Among the teams in the mix? You guessed it. Check out a photo from back then.

Eerily similar, right? Too bad Warner recently curtailed any remaining rumors regarding a potential return.
