ESPN’s Merril Hoge is still not a fan of Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel, and ripped him before his first NFL start.

The Clevleand Browns are making a change at quarterback, electing to start rookie Johnny Manziel over a slumping Brian Hoyer. That has brought pandemonium to NFL circles as we all get to finally see Manziel play a full game.
While some are excited to see what he can do at the next level, others are not, like ESPN NFL analyst Merril Hoge for instance. Before Manziel’s first career NFL start, Hoge too a shot at Manziel calling him “first round hype with sixth round talent.”

That might be a fair assessment, but let the man play and let’s see how it plays out. Manziel likely won’t be bothered, he is either A) still sleeping or B) preparing for the game and won’t hear the comments anyways.
He’d likely not bave much to say about it, and it isn’t the first shot hurled his way this week. Manziel handled Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis calling him a midget rather well.
