After Florida State Seminoles signal caller Jameis Winston wasn’t announced as a finalist for the 2014 Heisman Trophy Award, most believed it was Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota who’d bring the hardware home. They were correct as Mariota was honored with the trophy on Saturday night, deservedly so.
He was also honored in this amazing tribute video put together which features highlights dating back to Marcus Mariota’s Pop Warner days all the way to destroying opponents as a member of the Oregon Ducks.
While many see the highlights of the Oregon Ducks quarterback every Saturday night, perhaps the privilege of watching him on a play-by-play basis isn’t possible so this is a great video to see more than just a flashy pass or speedy run.
You might want to watch some of Marcus Mariota’s antics and actions in the video rather closely too because the quarterback hasn’t changed much from his youth. From his similar throwing motion to the way he conducts himself after a touchdown, it’s almost like you’re watching a carbon copy of the same player – just ten years in advance. Kind of crazy, really.
Regardless, the tribute video to Marcus Mariota was incredibly well done and shows why so many Oregon Ducks are understandably proud of their star signal caller and 2014 Heisman Trophy Award winner.
