Fantasy Basketball: FanDuel Lineups For December 15th

It was another middle of the road night for my lineups last night. Markieff Morris getting into foul trouble and finishing with five points really hurt. There are eight games on tap tonight, and plenty of hidden bargains.

More from FanDuel

Here are my FanDuel lineups for December 15th:

Nov 6, 2014; Houston, TX, USA; San Antonio Spurs guard Cory Joseph (5) reacts after a play during the fourth quarter against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. The Rockets defeated the Spurs 98-81. Mandatory Credit: Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Point Guards:

Bargains:

C.J. Watson, Pacers ($4,300): That is now five straight games of 20 or more fantasy points for Watson. He is arguably the best value in the game right now.

Cory Joseph, Spurs ($4,600): Tony Parker is out again, and Joseph has done a very good job of filling in for him. He is a sure 25 points for a very cheap price.

Worth The Cost:

Damian Lillard, Trailblazers ($8,300): I’m still on the Lillard bandwagon. I like the way he plays and the cast around him. I also like the matchup with the Spurs. It is the second game of a back-to-back for San Antonio. That likely means that the stars will sit, and I kind of doubt Tony Parker plays. Even if he does, he won’t be able to guard Lillard with a bum hammy.

Kyrie Irving, Cavaliers ($8,300): Irving still has an off game every once in a while, but more often than not, he is a solid producer. Honestly, he has fared better with LeBron in the lineup. He should have a solid night against the Hornets.

Risky Plays:

Ronnie Price, Lakers ($4,200): Price is still the starter, even though Jeremy Lin is playing better lately. Price in only averaging 14 fantasy points over his last five games, but as long as he is starting, there is always a chance that he goes for more than 20. It is a risk though.

Chris Paul, Clippers ($10,000): Paul has only had 52 fantasy points in his last two games combined. For that price, he should be getting 52 in one game……

My Lineups:

A: Watson and Lillard ($12,600)

B: Watson and Michael Carter-Williams ($13,500): This is just a gut call with MCW. He is due to break out of his slump against Boston.

Next: Let's move on to the shooting guards

Dec 3, 2014; Milwaukee, WI, USA; Milwaukee Bucks guard Giannis Antetokounmpo (34) looks to shoot over Dallas Mavericks guard Jameer Nelson (14) during the third quarter at BMO Harris Bradley Center. Mandatory Credit: Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Shooting Guards:

Bargains:

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks ($5,900): Every time I put Giannis up here, he flops. Well, the last four games he has been over 25 fantasy points, so I’m playing him again. He might have some issues against Phoenix, but I still think he stays in the 25 point range.

Rodney Stuckey, Pacers ($5,600): Stuckey has averaged 26 fantasy points over his last six games, culminating in a 34 point effort on Saturday. He seems to be doing better at his natural position of SG with Watson running the point. They are both great, cheap options right now.

Worth The Cost:

Kobe Bryant, Lakers ($9,300): Kobe has been on a roll lately, averaging 42 fantasy points per game over the last three games. After a couple of off games last weekend, Kobe is back on track.

Victor Oladipo, Magic ($6,500): Oladipo is starting to come around after a slow start. He is averaging 29 fantasy points per game over his last five games. For $6,500, he is a good option with great upside who won’t really hurt you.

Risky Play:

Eric Bledsoe, Suns ($8,200): Bledsoe on December 8th: 67.2 points. In the three games since: 66.2. Any questions?

My Lineups:

A: Antetokounmpo and Oladipo ($12.400)

B: Stuckey and Oladipo ($12,100)

Next: Click Here for the small forwards

Dec 13, 2014; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Philadelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (33) brings the ball up court against the Memphis Grizzlies during the second half at Wells Fargo Center. The Grizzlies defeated the 76ers 120-115. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Small Forwards:

Bargains:

Robert Covington, 76ers ($4,700): Covington has been on some kind of a roll lately. He has been over 25 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and over 30 in four of those five. He is the best cheap option available because you know he is going to get minutes on a 76ers team looking for someone to step up alongside Michael Carter-Williams.

Wesley Johnson, Lakers ($4,500): Johnson had a nightmarish start to the season, but is starting to come around lately. He has averaged 26 fantasy points per game over his last three games. Has he finally turned it around? It seems that way right now, but it may be worth exercising caution.

Worth The Cost:

LeBron James, Cavaliers ($10,700): After missing Wednesday’s game, LBJ came back with a 54.5 point fantasy output on Friday. He is fine going forward, and the best high-dollar option of the night.

Tobias Harris, Magic ($7,100): Harris is on here because of his consistency. He has been between 20 and 38 fantasy points every game since he returned from injury. You know what you’re getting, and something can be said for that.

Risky Play:

Nicolas Batum, Trailblazers ($6,500): Batum has struggled for most of this season. He did come back with 30 fantasy points against the Pacers on Saturday. Is he finally turning it around? I would take the wait and see approach.

My Lineups:

A: Covington and Kawhi Leonard Ā ($12,000): This is on the heels of Leonard’s huge game yesterday, and the fact that the stars could sit. Leonard could have a big night.

B: James and Covington ($15,400)

Next: Let's Move on to the power forwards

Dec 10, 2014; Chicago, IL, USA; Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson (22) goes to the basket between Brooklyn Nets center Mason Plumlee (1) and forward Kevin Garnett (2) during the first half of their NBA game at United Center. Mandatory Credit: Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forwards:

Bargains:

Taj Gibson, Bulls ($6,000): His minutes are back, and his production is starting to pick back up as well. He has been over 30 fantasy points twice in his last three games, and that makes him a really good value right now. It is also looking like he will start alongside Pau Gasol for the Bulls. That raises his value a little more.

Carlos Boozer, Lakers ($6,200): Boozer is technically not the starter anymore, but I can’t see that trend continuing very long considering how he is playing. He has racked up 103 fantasy points in his last three games, despite not being the ā€œstarterā€. He is still playing between 26 and 34 minutes, so I wouldn’t worry too much about the starter label.

Worth The Cost:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Trailblazers ($9,600): If you take out his horrible game against the Timberwolves last Wednesday, he still has not been under 33 fantasy points in any game this season. He is about as reliable as they come.

Kevin Love, Cavaliers ($8,800): Love now has four straight games with over 30 fantasy points. This team of superstars is learning how to play together, and all of their stats are starting to improve. Look at Irving, James, and Love over the last couple of weeks. Their stats have all improved.

Risky Play:

Pau Gasol, Bulls ($9,300): Gasol has only 52.3 fantasy points over his last two games, and he has to tangle with Paul Millsap and the Hawks tonight without Joakim Noah to help him out. I don’t like the way this looks.

My Lineups:

A: Aldridge and Love ($18,400)

B: Love and Gibson ($14,800)

Next: Click here for the centers

Dec 5, 2014; Boston, MA, USA; Boston Celtics center Tyler Zeller (44) celebrates against the Los Angeles Lakers during the second half at TD Garden. Mandatory Credit: Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Center:

Bargain:

Tyler Zeller, Celtics ($4,200): Zeller has averaged 25.5 fantasy points per game over his last eight games. It is not just a flash in the pan. He won’t produce like the high dollar guys, but at a position ravaged by injuries, he is a great and consistent option.

Worth The Cost:

DeAndre Jordan, Clippers ($7,400): Jordan has been over 30 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He is taking the next step in his progression to being a solid fantasy contributor, and is a consistent producer with the upside to put up 40 for you on any given night. He is very low risk right now.

Risky Play:

Nikola Vucevic, Magic ($8,400):Vucevic had a solid return on Saturday, but not quite what you would want for his price. He will get up to speed soon enough, possibly as soon as tonight, but I’m not gonna bet on it.

My Lineups:

A and B: Zeller ($4,200)
