WINNER: New England Patriots

While clinching the AFC East Sunday, and essentially eliminating Miami from the playoff hunt, New England has continued a domination of the division which goes back to 2001. Since then they have won the AFC East 12 times, only losing it to Miami in 2008 and the New York Jets in 2002.

That’s a lot of winning. In the two years they didn’t win the division, they also failed to make the playoffs despite being second in the division. Those were the only two times they missed the playoffs in that span, during which they averaged 12 wins a year.

We expect them to meet that average this season as well.

You can hate them if you want—many do—but you have to admit that this is a team which is the very definition of winning right now.
