A handful of NBA teams like the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers are said to be among the most active in regards to trade talks.

More from Boston Celtics

With players who signed contracts this past offseason now officially eligible to be traded, phone lines around the NBA are lighting up at a furious pace.

Multiple teams are said to be interested in making deals and Yahoo Sports reports the Houston Rockets, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and more are among the most active teams currently looking to make trades.

It was widely assumed that most of the teams listed would be among the most interested parties in making deals.

The Detroit Pistons, for example, are said to be s hopping Greg Monroe though are requesting a first-round draft pick in exchange. There have also been rumors suggesting the Phoenix Suns could be looking to clear up their backcourt log jam and offseason signee Isaiah Thomas fired his agent on the heels of being eligible to be traded.

Other teams like the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets are likely looking to add additional pieces to their roster in hopes of a deep playoff run, so it seems very possible the trade market in the NBA could be very active this season.

Usually if there a flurry of trades they often tend to come towards the February trade deadline but perhaps we’ll see a more active winter with so many teams looking to make deals. This of course doesn’t even mention teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings who are well known to be hitting the phone lines hard.
