With all the talk recently surrounding Kobe Bryant passing Michael Jordan on the career points scored list, there is a new superstar who is making some waves on the career points list. Kevin Durant stepped up tonight with a bucket that put him over 15,000 points in his career and only one other player ever did it faster than him.
Kevin Durant has become quite a force in the NBA and is nearly impossible to defend with his length, speed and pinpoint accuracy from almost anywhere on the court. Durant is one of the most athletic and fun to watch players in the game right now and has earned the respect of his peers.
Only LeBron James has made the mark of 15,000 points faster than Durant and it was only by less than a year.
Durant has a brilliant career in front of him and, playing alongside fellow superstar Russell Westbrook, will look to capture an elusive championship ring in thinner future. Durant certainly has the talent and ability for us to be talking about him finishing his career at or near the top of the scoring list he’s rocketing up.
