Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is one of the brightest young talents in the NBA, literally, after he was spotted making a unique fashion statement recently.
Drummond, who recently caught flack for talking a selfie while speeding decided it was best if somebody else drive during a pit stop to Los Angeles’ famed Greystone Manor. That was a good decision considering he didn’t want to scuff up his bedazzled Timberland boots.
Perhaps attempting to make a statement or trying to show off some Christmas spirit, the Detroit Pistons big man showed up at the restaurant looking fly as ever with his blingy red kicks.
If you feel like you’ve seen these before, that’s probably because you have. Multiple singers/rappers have been spotted in the modified Timberland boots in recent weeks and it appears as if Andre Drummond is simply attempting to keep up with the Jones’.
According to TMZ, the blinged out boots will set you back about $450 bucks, which is nothing more than pocket change for Drummond who could buy a pair (or 5,000) in every color of the rainbow.
It’s certainly a unique look and one that I couldn’t pull off, but I guess it’s a nice way for Andre to get the attention off height when a 7-foot tall man walks into the room with shoes a Leprechaun would envy.
