Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints
The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints have a lot more on the line than teams with losing records should have in Week 16. But the Falcons (5-9) and Saints (6-8) are playing for a shot at the NFC South title, with the Saints having a chance to eliminate Atlanta with a victory at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday. New Orleans leads Carolina (5-8-1) by a half-game in the division, with the Falcons a game back.
Atlanta won the first meeting between the teams at home in Week 1, 37-34 in overtime.

Keys to Victory
The Falcons will be looking to wrap up a season sweep of the Saints and stay perfect in the NFC South in the process. New Orleans is just 3-4 at home this season and will be coming off a short week. Atlanta’s defense is going to have to come up big against a team averaging 423 yards a game. The Falcons surrender 410 a game. Meanwhile New Orleans is coming off a win at Chicago in which they got three interceptions and sacked Jay Cutler seven times. Whichever team brings its defense will likely walk away with the win.
Betting Odds
Point Spread: Falcons (+6)
Moneyline: Falcons plus-220, Saints minus-260
O/U: 56
Prediction
The Falcons are 4-0 in the NFC South and 1-9 outside it and the Saints are 3-4 at home. But New Orleans has been playing better of late and goes in knowing it can clinch the division title if everything falls right; Carolina would be knocked out of contention with a New Orleans win and a loss at home to Cleveland. Besides, someone has to finish .500 in this division and the Saints are—much like Obi-Wan Kenobi all those years ago—our only hope.
Final Score: Saints 28, Falcons 23
