The Houston Rocket sand the Denver Nuggets were squaring off on Wednesday night, and center Dwight Howard was back and reminding everyone how big of a goofball he can be.
Howard and the Nuggets mascot were jawing at one another when the Rocky, the Nuggets mascot, struck the crane kick pose made famous by a young Ralph Macchio in the Karate Kid. Howard struck the pose back.
Later, Howard delivered on the pose and actually kicked the mascot in the face, though seemingly in jest.
Later the mascot took his shirt off and was taunting Howard and it looked like Howard was coming over to confront him before deciding to return to the other side of the court to continue playing.
Now I know one side of this argument is that Howard shouldn’t be focusing on a mascot during an NBA game, but come on, there are 82 of them. This kind of stuff makes the game more fun for the casual fan and gives them another reason to watch and enjoy the sport.
I mean after all, it is entertainment and fun.
