When Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning left last week’s win against the San Diego Chargers after the signal caller suffered a nasty hit, many presumed the living legend was injured.
However the Broncos were quick to point out that Manning was dealing with flu-like symptoms. While that did prove to be true, eventually Denver did admit that Manning was also suffering from a thigh injury.
Despite that Peyton Manning returned to the game and helped lead the Denver Broncos to a victory. The quarterback isn’t fully healthy though as he reportedly left practice on Thursday to get additional thigh treatment.
It’s difficult to tell if the treatment is standard procedure or cause for concern, however considering he left practice one has to think there might be more to the story considering he could have had normal treatment once practice concluded.
As of right now, it doesn’t appear as if the thigh injury Peyton Manning suffered is something to be overly concerned about, though a possible worry is that it could linger and cause problems come the postseason.
Manning has already stated the thigh injury has caused some discomfort in his motions though still looked relatively flawless when he returned to the field last week.
“I was in some discomfort and had some limitations, so obviously if you feel like you can’t do your job and you can’t move to protect yourself, you’re going to hurt the team,” Manning said Sunday, according to The Denver Post. “I felt I got a little relief there at halftime and was able to go the second half.”
Hopefully the treatment along with some rest will get Peyton Manning back on the healthy track.
