Rex Ryan To Atlanta Falcons Rumors Heating Up?
By Josh Sanchez
New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is not expected to return to the team next season, but he could land a job with the Atlanta Falcons according to the latest buzz.
No one believes that Rex Ryan will return to the New York Jets in 2015.
Another NFL head coach who appears to be on the hot seat is Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith, despite his team still being alive in the NFC playoff picture thanks to the putrid play in the NFC South.
In an interesting note on Friday, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole passed along the news that a handful of sources have said Rex Ryan to the Atlanta Falcons seems to be a natural fit for a number of different reasons.
With the recent switch to a 3-4 defense, Ryan could come in and help to take the team’s defense to the next level which is undoubtedly a strength of his. With a potential high draft pick and Ryan running the show, we could see the Falcons address their defense early and often.
If Ryan heads to Atlanta, Cole adds the team would like to see Dirk Koetter remain the offensive coordinator.
Whether or not Ryan ends up in Atlanta next season remains to be seen, but it would definitely make sense.
