Julio Jones could return this Sunday for a playoff deciding game vs. New Orleans.
It’s win or go home Sunday as the Atlanta Falcons battle the New Orleans Saints in the Superdome. Atlanta has a chance to retake the lead in the NFC South race. If they lose, they are eliminated from playoff contention and the Mike Smith regime could be over.
Getting back Julio Jones would be a huge boost for the Falcons and it appears that will be what happens.
According to ESPN Atlanta Falcons writer Vaughn McClure, Jones will be ready to play from all the information that he has gathered.
Jones has missed a week with a hip injury and he could be ready for this week.
The last time these two teams got together, it was a back and forth game that ultimately ended in overtime with the Falcons coming out on top. This time in New Orleans, for Atlanta to keep their season alive, they’re going to need all the help that they can get.
Jones would be a much welcome addition back to the Atlanta offense.
Last week, the Falcons struggled in the red-zone to score and if Jones is on the field, he becomes a big target for Matt Ryan in the endzone.
