The NFC North title is coming down to a Week 17 matchup between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers and FOX has wisely flexed the game into a better time slot.

It’s been a very long time since the Detroit Lions were this good, as if the playoffs started tomorrow, they’d hold the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the NFC. That’s something that didn’t help the Carolina Panthers too much last season, but the Lions are hungry and have a Super Bowl on their minds.

In Green Bay, it’s been consistently good times for the Packers, who are just four years removed from winning the Super Bowl and are looking to get back once again. Both teams will collide in their regular season finales on Sunday afternoon and the game will be played as a de facto playoff game to decide who wins the NFC North and a first-round bye and who will head to the Wild Card.

As a result, the NFL has flexed the Lions-Packers game into their 4:25pm ET slot to make for a wider audience and a better late afternoon game.

"The NFL has flexed the Lions’ Week 17 matchup to a 4:25 p.m. start in place of its originally scheduled 1 p.m. kickoff. The Lions-Packers game at Lambeau Field will be broadcast on FOX."

The chances are that FOX will give it’s A-team this crucial game, as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are expected to be in the booth for this one. The Lions and Packers have both clinched playoff spots and will both be heading to the postseason but this game on Sunday afternoon will decide who gets the No. 2 seed and the NFC North division crown.
