You never want to see an iconic stadium blown up as a fan of the said franchise/school, so there are probably some Texas A&M fans a little sad to see part of Kyle Field blown up today.
Of course, with the implosion comes a $450 million dollar redevelopment of the football stadium and fans will certainly enjoy the new look once its completed.
Also enjoyable was watching the implosion of Kyle Field’s west side which fell like a wobbly Lego set on Sunday morning.
That might have been better executed than some of the Aggies plays this season.
In all seriousness, that’s a pretty impressive sight to behold on video, let alone watching it in person.
Normally you see buildings/structures fall straight down as if they were smashed by a giant, which is what most of Kyle Field did. However one of the towers fell forward, almost as if it was crumbling towards the camera which gave the implosion a three dimensional feel.
So while there’s certain to be some sadness, especially for longtime Texas A&M fans who’ve spent years upon years watching games at Kyle Field, I have to imagine most will be thrilled with the changes.
Now tell me you haven’t watched that video on loop about fifteen times.
