Cleveland Browns May Start Connor Shaw At Quarterback
All season the Cleveland Browns have had to deal with questions about their quarterback with the only two answers Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel, but with both players ailing, the answer for the final game could be Connor Shaw.

To say the Browns have significant questions at quarterback would be an understatement.
Brian Hoyer played well for the better part of the first 10 games before regressing and turning into a turnover machine and giving way to first round pick and former Heisman winner Johnny Manziel in Week 15. Manziel’s first start left a lot to be desired after only throwing for 80 yards and throwing two interceptions and then he got hurt in his second start and may be lost for the team’s season finale on Sunday.
Manziel injured his hamstring late in the first half and Hoyer injured his shoulder after he replaced Manziel so the Browns may be forced to turn to undrafted free agent Connor Shaw, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer for the season finale as the Browns look to get their eighth win and finish .500.

Hoyer is listed as day-to-day and the extend of Manziel’s injury is unknown so Shaw may be promoted from the practice squad for the first time this year to make his NFL debut. We should know more as the week progresses in regards to the players health, but we may not leaern more about the Browns future at the most important position if Shaw is forced to start.
The Browns hoped to get a mini audition from Manziel heading into the offseason and see what they have in the second of their first round picks from last year’s draft, but he hasn’t shown anything to make you feel comfortable with him as the starter heading into the 2015 season and Hoyer is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Shaw was one of the more underrated players the last two seasons he was at South Carolina and was one of the toughest and more productive players in the SEC as a senior. Shaw threw 24 touchdowns and only one interception last year with the Gamecocks.
