Pacers, Wolves Treat Basketball Like Explosive Grenade (GIF)

The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves treated the ball like a live grenade during a recent game.

You probably played the game ‘Hot Potato’ when you were about five or six, but since then the childhood activity hasn’t been on your list of actives. The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves can’t say that after a Sunday afternoon matchup in which the two teams looked as if they were playing alongside a live grenade.

With Indiana nursing a nine-point lead in the third quarter, the Timberwolves were able to secure a rebound – or so they thought – and attempted to pass the ball out of their backcourt. Only problem? The Pacers got their hands on the pass and sent it bouncing down the court.

Of course that wasn’t anything special and something we’d see often during an NBA game. What happened next though was something straight out of a blooper reel as the two teams looked absolutely terrified to hang onto the rock.

Seriously, how many guys had their mitts on the ball at some point during that sequence? It was almost like the ball bounced around in popcorn butter because nobody could get a grip on that bad boy.

Now I’m just waiting for somebody with some graphical skills to turn the ball into a grenade and make this the best GIF of all time.
