Detroit Lions‘ center Dominic Raiola had his week 17 suspension upheld for stomping on an opponent’s leg during his team’s week 16 game against the Chicago Bears.

Unsurprisingly, the Lions will be without a player because he got suspended for playing dirty. Surprisingly, that suspended player is not named Ndamukong Suh.

The Lions take on the Green Bay Packers this weekend for one of the biggest games in the NFL. That game will decide which team wins the NFC North and which team will have a bye to start the playoffs. Those are huge stakes, especially for a game among division rivals.

Unfortunately for Detroit, they will be without one of their starting offensive linemen for this game. Dominic Raiola was suspended this week for stomping on the leg of Bears’ tackler Ego Ferguson. Raiola appealed, and on Tuesday, the league announced that the one-game suspension has been upheld on appeal.

Detroit has had a start and stop offense all season, so being without a starting lineman certainly isn’t going to help matters as they try to find a way to outscore Aaron Rodgers and company.
