It seems like everyone wants a piece of Odell Beckham Jr. these days. Add Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to that growing list. According to NBC Sports, he wanted to originally draft the standout first year receiver, but ended up with Jordan Matthews instead.

Matthews, who has posted some very solid rookie numbers with 59 receptions, 767 yards, and 7 TD, has not exactly been a slouch. But Kelly admitted to NJ.com reporter Jordan Raanan that the aforementioned Odell Beckham Jr. had been his personal first choice. Try to imagine what the Eagles offense would have looked like had coach Kelly been successful in his acquisition
“In my opinion, I thought he was the best in the draft. I think he’s showing people that,” said Kelly.
Odell Beckham Jr. has been a dream for the New York Giants thus far. He was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft out of LSU. In just 11 games this season, the rookie wide out has all but established himself as the best receiving prospect in the game. His numbers this far; 79 receptions for 1,120 yards and 11 TD. All three are Giants rookie records.
It is sometimes scary to imagine what his numbers would look like had he played the first quarter of this NFL season.
