Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
The Kansas City Chiefs are facing a must-win game against their division rival San Diego Chargers this week at home, and starting quarterback Alex Smith has been ruled out. Backup quarterback Chase Daniel will step in and take over the quarterback job, but the Chiefs may have yet another one of their key offensive players in doubt for Sunday’s game.

Jamaal Charles has officially been listed as questionable on the injury report with ankle and hamstring issues, which is enough to strike fear in the hearts of every single Chiefs fan out there.
If Charles is unable to go, that will leave the Chiefs with Daniel and Knile Davis as their final hope.
That definitely isn’t a great thought, but Charles has been known to play through some pain and will do everything he can to be out there for his team on Sunday. These injuries are coming at the exact wrong time, however, and being questionable a couple of days before kickoff isn’t ideal.
Charles has had yet another big season for Kansas City, picking up 979 yards and nine touchdowns on 193 carries. He has also caught 38 passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns on the season as well.
Those numbers show just how valuable he has been this year for Kansas City, and how much of the gameplan revolves around him.
Davis has done a very good job as his backup, but isn’t nearly the playmaker that Charles is capable of being. He has racked up 440 yards and six touchdowns on 125 carries, which is good for 3.5 yards per carry.
Needless to say, this is something that the Chiefs and their fans will be monitoring extremely close for the next two days. Sunday is going to be a difficult game on the field, and Kansas City is going to need as many of their playmakers as possible.
