Connor Shaw, who hasn’t taken a snap as a professional football player, will be starting for the Browns on Sunday. The Browns are eliminated from playoff contention, but can still play the spoiler for the Ravens, who would be eliminated with a loss. The Browns could also avoid a losing season with a win.
It’s probably good news for the Ravens who need a win to stay alive in the playoff race, though their hopes are thinning as they also need the Kansas City Chiefs to win and KC will be fielding a backup quarterback as well on Sunday. The Browns are playing the role of spoiler on Sunday against the Ravens, and certainly plan to be dangerous.
As @MaryKayCabot said, Browns QB Connor Shaw has agreed to terms on a new deal. Hasn't signed yet, but will before starting on Sunday.

For the Browns, the question becomes what if Connor Shaw looks good on Sunday?
The quarterback situation looks murky for next year with inconsistent play from Hoyer and awful play from Manziel in one game, not to mention the injuries. Shaw has spent the whole season on the practice squad for the Browns, but they added him to the active roster on Friday. He played in the preseason and looked pretty decent at times, but will be tested against the Ravens tough, and now desperate, defense.
Shaw is undrafted out of South Carolina and Sunday will be his first NFL start.
