A win on Sunday isn’t enough for the Ravens to get into the playoffs and so the game against the Cleveland Browns could easily end up being the last game of Torrey Smith’s season and according to a story by Pro Football Talk, he has a bad feeling it could be his last in a Ravens uniform as well.

"“As bad as it is not going to the playoffs, that’s a horrible feeling knowing that it’s a possibility that I might not be here next year,” Smith said, via ESPN.com. “But I’m not really worried about that. I’m trying to win this game and see what happens.”"

Well, Smith’s bad feeling probably just got worse with Friday’s news that Alex Smith is out as the Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Sunday against the San Diego Chargers. The Ravens, as well as two other AFC teams, need the Chiefs to win in order to have any shot at the sixth seed.

As far as Smith is concerned, his contract expires at the end of this season and  whether to give him a new one will be just one of the decisions facing the Ravens if their season ends on Sunday. Smith said he would like to remain with the Ravens, but laments his inconsistency this year with his 45 catches, 684 yards and 10 touchdowns. He hopes next year will be better regardless of the team he ends up on.

His production this year won’t help him get a big contract, but it might help him stay with the Ravens for less if the team decides they want to keep him on.
