Stand up comedian Dave Chappelle is a bit of an enigma, popping up for shows that he announces at the very last minute and the tickets selling out almost just as fast.
But he has new routines and jokes he performs all the time, and he stays in touch with current events. While doing a show recently, which is only detailed in the about section as taking place in December 2014, he addressed the domestic violence situation regarding the NFL.
Specifically he took on former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and the video of him hitting his then fiancée at an Atlantic City Casino.
Chappelle is pretty hilarious during his stand up routine, and tactfully walks the line between appropriate and not appropriate by making comments through out the routine like “it doesn’t matter what she said” in regards to what provoked Rice.
He also focuses on the mind-baffling fact that she went ahead and married him after the altercation occurred anyways, and made the point that many of us assumed, it was all about the money.
