The Houston Rockets social media account on Twitter trolled the NBA community with a ‘meet me in Temecula’ reference regarding James Harden’s MVP credentials.

If you were on the internet, especially Twitter on Christmas Day you’re probably well aware of the whole ‘Temecula’ debacle that took place.
For those looking for the cliff notes version, essentially two men engaged in a social media argument regarding the talent/ability of Kobe Bryant with the end result being one suggesting the two ‘meet’ in Temecula, a Southern California town based between Los Angeles and San Diego.
The verbal sparring that spawned a potential meeting took the internet by storm, so much so that major news organizations like CNN were picking up on the story.
In addition, the Houston Rockets also heard of the shenanigans as they decided to poke a little fun at the situation suggesting anybody that doesn’t believe All-Star guard James Harden isn’t the NBA MVP right now, they’ll meet them in Temecula.
It’s a little ballsy for a team social media account to make such a statement, especially considering the uproar the original cast, but that doesn’t make it any less funny. It’s also nice to see some personality from team social media feeds instead of the bland, organic style so many currently employ.
One person that we know won’t be meeting in Temecula is the previously mentioned James Harden, or should I say James ‘Soften’, after his hilarious reaction to being touched by Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale.
