The Atlanta Falcons are looking at the prospect of firing their entire coaching staff and front office if the team fails to make it to the postseason.
Just two years ago, the Atlanta Falcons were in the NFC Championship Game and a defensive drive away from making it to the Super Bowl. But in what has come to define the Mike Smith era in Atlanta, the team flamed out and lost the game on a last minute drive by the San Francisco 49ers.

Since then, the Falcons have been a broken team and it appears that things are going to change one way or another this offseason.
According to Jason La Canfora from CBSSports.com, the Falcons could very well end up firing everyone at the end of the season, especially if the team loses to the Carolina Panthers and misses the postseason for a second straight year.
"General manager Thomas Dimitroff’s future is hanging in the balance as well, pending the outcome of a coaching search. Should Atlanta lose to Carolina today and not reach the postseason, some close to Blank believe he would start with a clean slate in both coaching and the front office."
It’s been a long and hard fall for the Falcons, who have twice been picked to go to the Super Bowl by pundits and in both years have failed to put together a winning record. Should they lose to the Panthers, it would mark two straight years they missed the playoffs entirely, and that’s something that Arthur Blank is not about to stand for any longer.
