Many questioned Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett for playing his starters in the Week 17 regular season finale against the Washington Redskins.
The chances of securing the NFC’s top overall seed were slim and the risk of injury was obvious.
Still, there was plenty to play for as both DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant broke franchise records and perhaps Garrett wanted to send a message.
There were some not too thrilled with the Redskins gloating after an earlier victory against the Cowboys this season and it seems as if Dallas is having no problem destroying the Redskins before they head to the postseason.
Yes, that’s a 21-point lead just minutes into the second quarter, all set up by a surprise onside kick.
Perhaps it’s just Jason Garrett trying to get his Dallas Cowboys ready for the postseason as the last thing you want to do is take your foot off the gas pedal, but goodness the ‘Boys are putting a hurting on the Washington Redskins today.
Even more ironic is the Dallas Cowboys’ defense looked a bit woeful to start the game though has seemingly come around while the offense continues to destroy anything within their path.
