Get the ball in Dez Bryant’s hands and good things happen for the Dallas Cowboys.
It’s a plan they’ve ran with all season and the Pro Bowl wide receiver hasn’t disappointed. That included a 65-yard touchdown pass today against the Washington Redskins, bringing his season total to a very impressive 15 and counting.
Unlike many of Dez Bryant’s catches though, this Dallas Cowboys touchdown didn’t come off a deep pass in which the former Oklahoma State star beat deep coverage. In fact, this was nothing more than a mild bubble screen which turned into a massive gain after Bryant shook David Amerson of the Washington Redskins.
Once Bryant had clearing, that’s all he needed as he turned on the afterburners and took it all the way to the house.
When Dez Bryant gets in open space, catching him with those long strides is nearly impossible, something the Washington Redskins found out. Of course, this isn’t the first time Dez Bryant has burned the Washington Redskins who are likely getting tired of being placed on Bryant’s highlight reel.
Update: Bryant has now grabbed yet another touchdown, his 16th.
