Michigan Bar Offering Free Food And Drinks If Lions Beat Packers
By Josh Hill
The Detroit Lions have a chance to win the NFC North on Sunday, and a bar in Michigan is betting against them being able to do that.
Bars and football fans go together as perfectly as — well, bars and football fans. It’s a safe haven where sports fans of the same ilk can go and have a pint while they watch their favorite team with fellow fans. This weekend, bars all across Michigan will have the game tuned into the Lions-Packers showdown that is set to determine the NFC North winner.

A bar called ‘The Pour House’ in Madison Heights, Michigan is one of those bars but they’re going into the game with an interesting wager with fans.
The Pour House is offering to comp the entire bill of patrons in attendance for the Lions game if the team beats the Packers and wins the NFC North crown.
"“There’s a lot of excitement around here about the Lions making the playoffs, possibly getting that first-week bye and being two weeks away from the Super Bowl,” said bar owner Rudy Jarbo. “I think this gives Lions fans an incentive to watch physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.”"
The deal is patrons can buy as much as they want during the game, but if the Lions don’t win then they’re on the hook for their own bill just like any other time. It’s not a cheap bar either as drinks can get as high as $30 for a shot of Jonny Walker and the beer on tap isn’t cheap and watered down garbage — it’s the hearty craft stuff.
It’s an interesting gamble but seeing as the bar can only house around 100 people, it’s a bet that The Pour House will likely be happy to make good on if it means the Lions are in the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
