The Baltimore Ravens came into Week 17 needing help to make the playoffs, but they got exactly that and have punched their postseason ticket at the last possible moment.
After a season in which they went through a lot of off-field drama thanks to Ray Rice, the Baltimore Ravens are trying to hold their heads up as high as they can, as they’re off to the postseason and a Wild Card matchup with the either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Cincinnati Bengals.

Baltimore needed hep to get into the playoffs, as the only AFC team that controlled their destiny on Sunday as far as making it into the playoffs was the San Diego Chargers. Their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs opened up the door for the Ravens to pounce on the final open spot in the postseason.
Houston Texans fans were hoping for a loss by the Ravens, as such a scenario would have then seen the Texans make the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the AFC.
The Ravens won’t know who they are playing next weekend until tonight’s game between the Steelers and Bengals decides the AFC North champion. Whoever wins that game will et a showdown against the Ravens, but it doesn’t matter to fans who Baltimore plays, only that the team has made an improbable run through dark days to reach the light of the postseason.
