Packers Are Concerned About Aaron Rodgers’ Calf
By Evan Massey
The Green Bay Packers are a little bit concerned about superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ injured calf.
Aaron Rodgers injured his calf last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after taking a big hit, and there was concern all week long about whether or not he would be 100 percent ready to play today against the Detroit Lions.

The Green Bay Packers do have some concern about Rodgers’ calf, and have decided to activate all three quarterbacks on their roster for this afternoon’s game. Rodgers will need to come through with a big game for the Packers to come away with a win over the Lions and the second overall seed in the NFC, and the Lions know that his calf is an issue. Expect to see them attack Rodgers and put as much pressure on him as possible.
That being said, Mike McCarthy said just the other day that he isn’t too concerned with Rodgers’ calf. He said that the conversation he had with Rodgers put his mind to rest, but that they will be careful with him.
More than likely the calf will not cause any issues this afternoon for Rodgers and the Packers. This is a huge game that could completely change Green Bay’s season, and they need to find a way to come away with a win at home. Detroit is trying to win in Green Bay for the first time in 23 years, while the Packers are looking to win their fourth straight division title.
Expect this game to be a hard-fought bloodbath between two bitter rivals. Rodgers is the one advantage that the Packers have, and they won’t stand a chance if he does get hurt.
