The Ravens entered Week 17 needing a win over the Cleveland Browns and the San Diego Chargers to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in order to earn a berth to the postseason.
Well, Joe Flacco and Torrey Smith’s 16-yard touchdown connection with 7:33 left in the game that gave Baltimore a 13-10 lead over Cleveland put the Ravens in position to do their part.
Watch a GIF of the play below:
Smith entered the game with 45 catches for 684 yards and 10 touchdowns. But surely none of Smith’s catches were bigger than that one.
Baltimore would extend its lead to 20-10 shortly thereafter thanks a two-yard pass from Flacco to Kamar Aiken.
On the other hand, the Chargers are struggling mightily against Kansas City, making it a strong bet that the Ravens, in fact, will be headed to the playoffs.
