If you weren’t online Christmas Day, we can’t blame you, though you did end up missing one of the more hilarious moments of 2014.
In short, two Twitter users engaged in a verbal spat over Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers. One then offered to ‘meet in Temecula’, a town located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Of course, making such a threat isn’t anything new but one of the men actually went through with the idea and showed up in Temecula.
Thankfully nobody was hurt though it certainly made some waves on social media.
One person who didn’t hear about the exchange though was Kobe Bryant himself. While you can read the entire exchange here, reporter Arash Markazi showed the Los Angeles Lakers icon the internet fight which prompted the following response.
He certainly has that right.
You’d probably think that’s where the whole debacle stopped, right? Not even close as not only has the situation been mocked by the Houston Rockets but the user who decided to drive to Temecula has now made a diss song and released it via YouTube.
I guess we finally have an answer to the two decade question asked by Notorious B.I.G. – what’s beef?
This. This is beef. Kobe beef, one might say.
