Yes, there are a handful of big names on the Denver Broncos roster like DeMarcus Ware, Julius Thomas and Demaryius Thomas, but none of them could hold a candle to Peyton Manning who easily had the best selling Broncos jersey this season according to DICK’S Sporting Goods.
Manning’s jersey sales started off the season rather slow (at least in regards to what is expected from Peyton Manning) but as the holiday season approached, the Pro Bowl quarterback saw his jersey sales spike significantly according to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report.
Not only did Peyton Manning lead the Denver Broncos in jersey sales, he also currently holds the title of being the best selling jersey in the NFL. That’s pretty impressive considering he’s still beating out some of the youngest and most popular stars in the NFL like Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson and Johnny Manziel. Not surprisingly, the top four jersey sellers are all quarterbacks.
In regards to Manning’s jersey sales, 55 percent were to men while youth jerseys captured 29 percent of his market with women jerseys rounding out the final 16 percent. He also saw a significant amount of sales outside of the Colorado area as both New York and Florida were states in which Peyton Manning jerseys sold well. Manning’s Denver Broncos jersey also did well in Indianapolis where he spent a large portion of his career playing with the Colts.
As for the rest of the Denver Broncos, previously mentioned wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was the next closest player on the roster near Peyton Manning in jersey sales as he ranked 38th in the NFL.
