Rex Ryan has been out of a job less than 72 hours and he’s already drawing attention from two of the NFC’s biggest teams. Both the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons fired their head coaches this week, which has created vacancies that could be filled by Ryan.

According to Brian Costello from the New York Post, the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons both have interviews lined up with Rex Ryan this upcoming week.

The San Francisco 49ers are also calling in Josh McDaniels and have interest in Dan Quinn as well, so Rex Ryan is not the end all-be all candidate for them. Still, he’s a candidate who makes a lot of sense when ti comes to filling there personality void left by Jim Harbaugh’s exit to Michigan.

Speaking of a personality void, the Atlanta Falcons need some sort of jolt after these lethargic two seasons they strung together, and Rex Ryan is the guy who may be able to bring them to life. He started out great with the Jets and Mark Sanchez, but the Falcons defense and Matt Ryan happen to be so much better in so many ways.

It’s unclear where Rex Ryan will end up, as he took in interview with ESPN about a potential job there too so all of the cards are being spread out and it’s up to only one man to sort it all.
