Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Keith Mumphrey to help the Spartans pull of an incredible comeback versus Baylor.
Michigan State appeared to be dead in the water entering the fourth quarter of the Cotton Bowl, trailing 41-21 to a Baylor team that was playing great football.

But the Spartans, and quarterback Connor Cook, woke up and ultimately pulled off one of the more incredible comebacks we’ve seen in some time to win the game 42-41.
Cook threw two touchdowns in the quarter, including a 10-yard pass to Keith Mumphrey with 17 seconds left that clinched the Spartans victory.
Watch video of the play below:
Cook finished the day 24-of-42 for 324 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He wasn’t great all day, but he made plays when he had to and the Spartans are now bowl champions.
This will no doubt be a loss that’s incredibly difficult for Baylor to deal with. They were in complete control of the game, only to have their defense completely let up and their high-powered offense score zero points in the fourth quarter. That will haunt them for a long, long time.
