Nick Saban’s vaunted Crimson Tide defense is starting to get rolled. With less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter, Ezekiel Elliott rushed to the left and exploded through a hole for an 85-yard touchdown. After making one hard cut in the backfield, Elliott ran to the end zone untouched.
Elliott is having a career night, rushing for 230 yards on a mere 20 attempts. He’s scored two touchdowns, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. Alabama has suffered injuries to two of their linebackers, and it’s apparent that they’re struggling with the multiplicity of Ohio State’s attack. The Buckeyes are hitting Alabama with everything they’ve got, from Elliott’s legs to Cardale Jones’s arm.
Alabama answered late in the fourth quarter with a Bake Sims touchdown pass to Amari Cooper, but after a failed onside kick, this game may be out of reach for Nick Saban and company.
