Florida State Seminoles star quarterback Jameis Winston tweeted following his teams blowout loss at the hands of the Oregon Ducks.

Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles fell to the Oregon Ducks by a final score of 59-20, and it was an embarrassing all-around perform. Unfortunately for Winston, he was one of the most embarrassing players that stepped on the field during the game.

His final numbers didn’t look terrible, throwing for 348 yards, a touchdown, and an interception, but they certainly weren’t enough to keep the Seminoles from losing for the first time in two years. Perhaps the worst play of the game came off of Winston extending a play and then fumbling the football backwards with no one touching him, and the fumble ended up getting returned by the Ducks for a touchdown.

This performance was the definition of a breakdown, and the Seminoles found out the hard way that they weren’t a championship caliber team this season.

Winston took to social media after the game, and tweeted about his team and seemed to throw some shade at the two teams that are in the championship game.

While he may be right, that is not the way for a star quarterback to conduct himself following a huge loss like that. He should be supportive of his teammates like he was, but talking about having the same number of losses as the champ isn’t the right way to do it. The fact of the matter is that the Seminoles lost and aren’t in the championship game, which is all that matters.

It appears that Winston has played his final college football game, and will sail off to the NFL. He is going to have to learn maturity and how to stay calm in big games at the next level, and he shed major doubts about whether or not he is ready for that against Oregon in the Rose Bowl.
