Michigan State fans decided to rub some salt in the fresh wound of Baylor fans.

This year’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl turned out to be an absolute classic. Michigan State blocked a potential game-sealing field goal by Baylor and proceded to drive 55 yards for the game-winning touchdown with only 17 seconds to go in the game.

Worse than the simple loss for Baylor has been all of the extra deserved attention that has gone along with it.

First off, Michigan State came back from a 20-point fourth quarter deficit, scoring 21 points in the final frame to win the game. A collapse served up by Baylor of epic proportions.

Then, the video of Baylor kicker Chris Callahan getting absolutely decleated after that potential game-ending field goal was blocked made the rounds and went viral.

Now, even worse then witnessing Callahan teetering helplessly on the ground after that hit is the fact that some Spartan joker decided to put a Michigan State hat on the Robert Griffin III statue that sits right outside McLane Stadium in Waco, Texas.

The man responsible for the Tweet tagged not only Griffin III in it, but also Kirk Cousins, his current teammate with the Washington Redskins. Cousins, of course, attended Michigan State. All of this has been the extra pounding that Baylor University, it’s alumni, and fans have had to endure over the past 24 hours.

The only saving grace for Baylor fans came from Callahan himself as he provided a little comic relief, allowing everybody to know he did survive the hit that knocked him into next week.

Yup, it was that kind of day for the Baylor Bears. Now, the only thing fans have to look forward to is next year.
