Ohio State DE Steve Miller predicts his Sugar Bowl interception
Ohio State defensive end Steve Miller knew that he would have an interception in the Sugar Bowl.
Having the ability to look into the future would definitely be a useful tool for playing sports.
That’s apparently what Ohio State Buckeyes defensive end Steve Miller has, as he predicted that he would get an interception during the Sugar Bowl against the Alabama Crimson Tide on New Year’s Day.
His predictions turned out to be true.

During the third quarter with his Buckeyes up 28-21, Miller dropped back into coverage between Alabama quarterback Black Sims and his target Armari Cooper. He was able to read the play correctly and picked off an intended pass for Cooper and returned it 41 yards to the house for a touchdown. It put the Buckeyes up 35-21 and put them in the lead for good.
The Buckeyes actually were trailing Alabama 21-6 midway through the second quarter, but went on a 36-14 run after that the knock of Alabama 42-35 and earn a chance to play for the National Championship.
“I had a vision,” Miller said. “I just want to thank my teammates and thank God.”
Miller had a pretty simple explanation of his interception after the game. “Just backpedal, drop 8-10 yards over the tackle, find the ball and then run to the end zone,” Miller said.
His interception was the first of three interceptions Ohio State would have on Sims in the second half. The final interception came from Tyvis Powell, who picked off a hail mary at the end of the game.
I’m sure his teammates and Ohio State fans are hoping that he has a similar vision in the coming weeks, as his Buckeyes prepare to play Oregon on Jan. 12th for the College Football Championship. Oregon routed Florida State 59-20 in the Rose Bowl to earn their spot in the College Football Final.
