The Baltimore Ravens upset the the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night, and the win sets up a showdown with the New England Patriots in the AFC Playoffs.

After going into Pittsburgh on Saturday night and beating the Steelers in the AFC Wild Card round, the Baltimore Ravens will be off to New England for a showdown with their heated rivals in the Patriots. It’s not the first time that the Ravens will be playing the Patriots on the road in the AFC Playoffs and if they win it won’t be the firs time that has happened either.

Baltimore is the No. 6 seed in the AFC, which means by default they’ll be headed to New England next week to play the Patriots — regardless of what happens with the Colts and Bengals tomorrow.

More from Baltimore Ravens

It only takes one hot streak for a team to win the Super Bowl and the Ravens are no strangers to that. In 2013, they went on a tear in the playoffs and won their way to New Orleans and to a Super Bowl victory in the infamous Harbaugh Bowl.

This time around, the Ravens are heating up once again in the postseason as they trounced the Steelers on the road but now must go on the road again to face the Patriots. It’s far from an easy road after that, as a win in New England would most likely send Baltimore to Denver, where they ended the Broncos season in 2013 on their way to the Super Bowl.

All the Ravens need though is a chance, which is something they’re demonstrating with their hot start to the postseason. The Patriots are a far better team than the Steelers could have ever hoped to be this season, but all it takes is one bad game to end a season.

That’s what the Ravens are hoping to probe out of the Patriots next week, as Baltimore was the last team New England was hoping to see show up at their doorstep when the AFC Divisional round kicked off.
