This East Carolina fan was the epitome of “salty” on Saturday afternoon following the Birmingham Bowl.

There was a time this season when the East Carolina Pirates were clicking on all cylinders and their fans were convinced they would have the season of a lifetime. Well the wheels eventually fell off, and the heartbreak culminated on Saturday afternoon in the Birmingham Bowl, where they lost to the Florida Gators 28-20.

So it’s pretty safe to say that East Carolina fans are nowhere near as pleased as they once were earlier this season, and that fact was no more evident than what one East Carolina fan did to the ESPN cameras following the loss.

Just as they were panning the crowd when the defeat was imminent, this East Carolina fan went ahead and showed ESPN that her team is still No. 1!

Oh come on, you lost to the Florida Gators of the SEC, it’s quite alright.

Wait a second, no. You lost to the Florida Gators of 2014 with an interim coach. Nevermind, you have every right to be mad.
